John Allan Yarmuth is a retired American politician and newspaper editor who served as the U.S. representative for Kentucky's 3rd congressional district from 2007 to 2023. His district encompassed the vast majority of Louisville, Kentucky, which has shared the same borders with Jefferson County following a city-county merger in 2003.
